Andrew Guzik is a partner at Claggett & Sykes Trial Lawyers and a member of the firm’s mass torts and class action team.

Andrew has spent his legal career litigating complex civil cases in Nevada state and federal courts. He began his career on the defense side handling premises liability, construction defect, transportation, and general negligence matters, which provided him with insight into how cases are evaluated and defended by large corporations and their insurers.

Andrew later transitioned to plaintiff-side litigation work, where he has focused on legal writing and motion practice in catastrophic injury and mass tort cases, including working on the team representing the State of Nevada in its litigation against pharmaceutical companies responsible for the opioid crisis, which resulted in a $1.2 billion settlement for the State.

Andrew was originally drawn to the law through an interest in environmental and public interest work. He earned a certificate in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law, one of the nation’s top environmental law programs. He is particularly driven by cases involving public safety, environmental harm, and litigation that can lead to safer products, safer practices, or greater corporate accountability.

Andrew is known for his analytical approach to litigation, strong writing and motion practice, and his ability to manage complex cases from early investigation through trial preparation and resolution.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys cycling, music, travel, photography, and spending time with his wife and two dogs.
