About Erica Medley

Erica Medley is a partner at Claggett & Sykes Trial Lawyers and a member of the firm’s mass torts and class action team. She represents individuals and communities harmed by corporate negligence, misconduct, and unsafe practices, advocating tirelessly to hold powerful entities accountable.

With a strong foundation in litigation and trial work, Erica is experienced in litigating high-stakes and complex cases in Nevada, as well as federal and military courts across the country. Erica brings a rare combination of military trial experience, appellate insight, and large-firm sophistication to every case she handles to fight for meaningful outcomes for her clients.

Erica graduated second in her class from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law in 2015. She served as the managing editor of the Nevada Law Journal and president of the Society of Advocates moot court team. Erica was honored with the Dean’s Award and Scribes Award upon her graduation. After law school, Erica clerked for the Honorable Kristina Pickering of the Nevada Supreme Court, an experience that shaped her approach to legal analysis, writing, and strategy.

Prior to joining Claggett & Sykes, Erica was a partner in the Las Vegas office of Holland & Hart LLP—an Am Law 200 firm, where she litigated and managed complex business disputes. Erica also served active duty in the United States Air Force (“USAF”) Judge Advocate General’s (“JAG”) Corps, gaining extensive trial experience and developing a strong foundation in advocacy. Erica was awarded the “Excellence in Advocacy” Award at the USAF JAG School for being the top litigator in her class. After JAG School, Erica served as a prosecutor in the Air Force for violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, ranging from drugs and domestic violence to child sex offenses. Thereafter, Erica was nominated to become an Area Defense Counsel at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, to represent Airmen facing criminal prosecution and administrative actions. Currently, Erica is a Major in the United States Air Force JAG Corps Reserves.

Beyond her military service, Erica is committed to serving the community and provides extensive pro bono representation to inmates seeking clemency from the Nevada Pardons Board. Erica also volunteers as a board member of a local nonprofit organization, Branded One CrossFit, which provides free gym memberships to disabled servicemembers.

Erica brings her depth of experience to her current practice, where she is passionate about representing individuals and families impacted by negligence and wrongdoing. Known for her thoughtful approach and strong litigation background, Erica is committed to guiding clients through difficult circumstances with clarity, skill, and determination.
