TWO COMMUNITIES, ONE FIRM

At Claggett & Sykes, it’s more than a motto, it’s vital to our culture and ongoing success.

When we first opened our doors, one of our top priorities was to find ways to give back to the community that’s given us so much. Las Vegas is where Sean and I grew up, where we met at Clark High School, where we got married and bought our first home, and where we raise our kids today. It only felt natural – and necessary – to help our neighbors. Over the past few years, our community has expanded into Northern Nevada, where we opened another office in Reno.

Two communities, one firm.

As an organization, Claggett & Sykes team members volunteer for local non-profits and perform community service throughout the year. Together, we’ve served food at local homeless shelters, cleaned up trash in community parks, and put together food packages for Three Square Food Bank. We have also helped create the Shannon West Homeless Youth Shelter Computer Lab, spearheaded a bicycle drive that has brought in more than 1,200 bikes for KLUC’s annual toy drive and raised funds for the Challenged Athletes Foundation, as well as work with various organizations that support children and families and bring awareness to the importance of mental health.

For the last 15 years, we’ve had some extraordinary experiences and worked on projects we are enormously proud of. That said, I’ve never been more excited about and taken more pride in the work we’ve done at Claggett & Sykes to help others. From providing a much-needed boost for remarkable organizations to helping people help themselves, and playing a small part in making our community a better place.

“This past spring I asked Sean if he would be willing to help out Nevada Child Seekers with a donation for our annual 5K Dash and Stroll. I mentioned to him that if he could make a donation and help me reach an amount I set I would shave my head. Sean came back with the attitude of whatever you need we can help.
